Hi.  I want to introduce myself.  I am Jo Buckler, a passionate and dedicated crafting individual who after emigrating to this wonderful country in 2006 from the UK found quilting and sewing about 6 years ago.  My love for sewing and quilting transcends mere hobby – it's a profound and fulfilling way of life. With a keen eye for detail and a heart brimming with creativity, I have seamlessly woven my passion into a thriving journey of self-expression and craftsmanship.

From the gentle hum of the sewing machine to the vibrant tapestry of fabrics, I have found solace and joy in the art of quilting. With nimble fingers and a mind full of innovative ideas, every stitch becomes a testament to my unwavering dedication to the craft. The intricate patterns and carefully selected fabrics reflect not only technical skill but also a genuine love for the art form.

I feel that what sets me apart is not just the exquisite quilts I create, but the burning desire to share this joy with others. With a heart as warm as a cozy quilt, I am on a mission to help fellow quilters complete their unique quilting projects.

In my world, the joy of sewing is not just a personal delight but a communal celebration.  My love for sewing and quilting extends far beyond personal joy. As a dedicated member of the local volunteer sewing community, I have found a profound purpose in using my skills to bring a touch of comfort to individuals in aged and palliative care.  Our group catches up once a week to make items such as self care bags (for domestic violence victims), quilts for palliative and aged care individuals.... and much more!!

I am proud to lend a helping hand to both the local community, aged care facilities and hospitals, and working with the ladies of the local community sewing group to craft beautiful quilts that go beyond mere fabric and thread. Each stitch becomes a symbol of care, compassion, and a tangible expression of support for those facing life's most challenging moments.

Every quilt created becomes a source of comfort, a tangible reminder that the community cares deeply for those in palliative care. Whether through coordinating quilting sessions, providing materials, or offering guidance to volunteers,  the local sewing community has become a driving force behind a collective effort to make a positive impact... all fabric is donated by the local community - which we are very grateful for.

10% of all fees charged will be donated back to the community (Sewing for the  Community East Gippsland).

I am excited to be starting this new 'long arm' quilting service
located in East Gippsland (Lakes Entrance). I am passionate about what I do, pride myself on attention to detail and the ability to create beautiful and unique quilts. I believe that every quilt tells a story and am committed to helping customers tell their stories through quilting.

Whether you have a specific design in mind or you need help bringing your vision to life, I am here to help. Contact me today to learn more about my services.
